Habit
Low bushy perennial herb to 50cm high.
Site preference
Tolerates frost and extended dry periods.
Characteristics
Milky sap can irritate skin and eyes.
Flowering
Bright blue to mauve flowers, Sep-May.
Propagation
From fresh seed; cuttings of firm growth (which root readily); or from division. Germinates in 4-6 weeks.
Regeneration
Regenerates well in gardens.
Ornamental
Excellent attractive ornamental for rockeries and containers. Produces spectacular informal effect. Rejuvenate plants over 2 years by harsh pruning in autumn.
