Connecting Landscapes Project – Tree Planting Day 2022

Connecting Landscapes Project - Community Tree Planting Day

This planting is part of Woolshed Thurgoona Landcare’s Connecting Landscapes project which has been funded by AlburyCity. The project aims to revegetate critically endangered Grassy Box Gum Woodland creating habitat linkages for wildlife to freely move along. Ben Humphries from BirdLife Australia identified a number of native bird species on a recent walk around the site, these included: Magpie, Magpie Lark, White-plumed Honeyeater, Striated Pardalote, Eastern Rosella, Flame Robin (males/females), Red Rumped Parrot, Brown Treecreeper, Superb Fairy Wren, Little Corella, Yellow-rumped Thornbill, Grey Shrike-thrush, Galah, Noisy Miner.
