AGM Thursday 20 November, 2014

When:  Thursday 20th of November from 6pm, 2014.

Where:  Next to St John’s Church Table Top Rd Thurgoona

What: 

6pm - Start Walk and talk about the area, includes:

  • Native plant and revegetation information
  • check squirrel glider nest boxes and record location/sightings in ATLAS of living Australia
  • “launching” of the “stop and smell the wattles community park bench”
  • See Bat release and possibly Squirrel glider video footage from recent Hume Weir Landcare activities

6:40  AGM – membership, financial update, plans for 2015.

7pm – dinner ($5 towards pizza) and talk about urban nest box program. 

7:30pm General social discussion. 

Bring the family along for the evening to see the work that the Woolshed Thurgoona Landcare Group have done around the church site.   Check some nest boxes for native animals and have a demonstration on how to record nest boxes or wildlife sightings into the ATLAS of living Australia.  Listen to a brief summary of the Groups achievements for the past year followed pizza.  The evening will wind up with a talk from our guest Speaker Sam Niedra (Albury Conservation Company / Slopes to Summit) who has an exciting new urban squirrel glider nest box program to announce.   Find out how you can be a part of this great initiative.
