A small group got together to removed tree guards from around wattles that had outgrown
the guards. One of the issues at this location is kangaroos, who eat anything green and tasty that is
new revegetation seedings and small planted trees. To protect theses smaller plants, tree guards are
put around the seedlings to allow them to grow to a “roo” proof size. The wattles are an essential food source
for our resident Squirrel Glider population.
