Revegetation of Woolshed Creek Paddock Walk and Talk

Sunday 27th of August 12:45 – 3:00 pm

Woolshed Creek site

At the site of our current ‘Revegetation of Woolshed Creek’ Project:  50 Hawkscote Rd, Thurgoona (Wolki family, private property)

Guest Speakers

Dr. Damian Michael (Australian National University, Ecologist) will speak to us about the wildlife living along our local Woolshed and Eight Mile Creeks and how planting sites such as this, will benefit a range of wildlife species into the future.

Kylie Durant (Holbrook Landcare Network) will talk about creek processes, erosion management and how revegetation can help stabilize creek systems.

Following the paddock talks attendees are invited to stay and help plant. Over the last month school students, a ‘green army team’ and community members have been busy planting the site. If you enjoy planting, stay on and give a hand planting the remaining 350 plants.

FREE BBQ on arrival
RSVP required by Thur 24th Aug for catering purposes to Melinda Ritchie by email: [email protected]
